Daniel- a three Michelin Star Relais & Chateaux member.
I went there for my friend’s birthday in 2011. She wanted to go to the Per se in the first place. It asks for exact 30 days in advance booking. Saw online booking was availabe, that was fantastic especially for those who do not live in US.
I did the booking at exact 12 am on the web. Obviously, it was not working. We made several attempts, still not working. My friend called from London, they said “online booking is not available”, you have to call for reservation. Then here she was, she called. Then we were told it was full already.
What a relief to me because I think they are extremely over priced.
Also heard same comment from tripadvisor.com.
So here we come, Daniel!
The deco of Daniel was elegant and comfy. Booking was not difficult as well. I didn’t know anything about Daniel before we went because my friend picked it.

Overview
It was an average experience as I expected more for a renowned restaurant. Food didn’t surprise me. Everything was so-so. However the service standard did let me down. They gave us wrong wine for the starter. They gave me Sancerre and gave my friend Meursault. We were lucky to stop them when they poured wine. We told them you mixed up, however the waitress insisted and looked for the sommelier. Of course, she was wrong. I think it is unacceptable in this high end, reputed restaurant.
Quite sure I would not return as there are so many restaurants to try and they did not give me a reason why would I go back again.
